I find myself constantly drawn to the edge where the earth and sky meet. The soft merging of the two places. When I started this painting I was obsessed with the trees on the horizon. Over time I realized they looked too flimsy and didn’t portray the solidness I felt from the top of the mountain, or how insignificant I felt far below. I wanted to express the timelessness of the landscape, and how fleeting our time is here on earth.
